Following Gov. Whitmer’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order and guidelines published by the University of Michigan, The Michigan Engineering Zone will remain closed through April 13, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. All summer programs (including the NAF Future Ready Scholars program and the Thinkabit Lab Qcamps) are still scheduled to move forward as planned. Thinkabit Lab @ the MEZ!

- Do you want to meet some real engineers, and learn what they do?
- Do you want to make new friends and have fun with other students?
Qcamp for Kids in STEM is a one-week STEM camp for girls and boys entering 7th and 8th grade, which provides hands-on engineering project experience at Qualcomm’s Thinkabit Lab @ the MEZ.
Qcampers will learn new skills while strengthening their scientific and mathematical understanding through hands-on engineering projects. You will have the opportunity to meet professional engineers, learn about engineering tools and their applications, explore the engineering design process, build your own projects, and meet new friends!
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
Current 6th and 7th grade (by the time of camp this summer, students will be incoming 7th and 8th graders) girls and boys from Detroit area schools.
Qcamp is from 8:30 am – 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday
2 sessions will be held Summer 2020:
Qcamp for Kids in STEM (girls and boys): August 10 – 14
Qcamp for Girls in STEM (girls only): August 24 – 28

Science, Technology, Engineering and Math projects…and loads of FUN!
Qcamp is completely funded by Qualcomm so there is no cost to parents! Lunch is provided!

As a Qcamper, you will be expected to participate in all activities, arrive promptly, be fully engaged, be open to new experiences, have a positive attitude, work in teams, play and have fun!
