Thinkabit Lab Summer Camp

A week of summer fun and STEM at

Thinkabit Lab @ the MEZ!

  • Have you ever thought about how new technologies are invented?

  • Do you want to meet some real engineers, and learn what they do?
  • Do you want to make new friends and have fun with other students?

Qcamp for Kids in STEM is a one-week STEM camp for girls and boys entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, which provides hands-on engineering project experience at Qualcomm’s Thinkabit Lab @ the MEZ.

Qcampers will learn new skills while strengthening their scientific and mathematical understanding through hands-on engineering projects. You will have the opportunity to meet professional engineers, learn about engineering tools and their applications, explore the engineering design process, build your own projects, and meet new friends!

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?

Current 5th, 6th and 7th grade (by the time of camp this summer, students will be incoming 6th,  7th  and 8th graders) girls and boys from Detroit area schools.

WHEN?

Qcamp for Kids in STEM (girls and boys):

Qcamp is from 8:30 am – 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday

3 sessions will be held Summer 2019:

Session 1:  June 24 – June 28
Session 2:  August 12 – August 16
Session 3:  August 26 – August 30

WHAT WILL THE CAMP FOCUS ON?

Science, Technology, Engineering and Math projects…and loads of FUN!

COST?

Qcamp is completely funded by Qualcomm so there is no cost to parents! Lunch is provided!

Thinkabit Lab @ the MEZ is located at 3663 Woodward Ave, Suite 100, Detroit, MI 48201

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF QCAMPERS?

As a Qcamper, you will be expected to participate in all activities, arrive promptly, be fully engaged, be open to new experiences, have a positive attitude, work in teams, play and have fun!
